I'm active in the e107 CMS community and i've created some plugins myself. while e107 can be used for blogging, it more a portal application, i've started to explore other options because i have 20 domain names to develop and I plan to use five of them for blogging.
I know Movable type is quite popular so i went to the MT website, I was looking for the magic word FREE and I found it but it was only for personal, non-commercial use. Fine, but I don't wanna get in trouble with that license agreeement.
I went to Wordpress and I was surprised that the unzipped package was less than 1 MB! Geeklog was almost 5 MB.
That of course was a big plus for Wordpress and the touted easy installation was a breeze indeed.
I agree that Wordpress is a good choice, but until I give it a road test it I won't give my final judgement.

I´m actually using an old free MT version, and I love the fact that I can have a lot of blogs! This is a very big issue for WP (AND new free MT version)... Unyway until I give WP a shot, I´m trying other less known: pLog. Anyone knows it? Ana ps. Sorry about my writting... as I´m from Argentina, my english isn´t as accurate as I wish ;-)

well, a good review job, I am just betweeen two of them and can't decide which one to use, I guess after this I go for the wordpress now.
