Just to let u know, even tho we Shia believe that Ali pbuh is the first successor of Prophet Mohammad pbuh, we do not regard him to be a prphet or any such higher than an Imam/Caliph.

You should read up on your history before you make these comments. We beleive him higher than prohphets. He is one of the 14 infallibles. He is al insan in the koran. Many traditions say he is al insan.

Imam Ali (as) is regarded by the Shia as an Imam, but most people do not know what an Imam is. The Prophet Muhammad (sas) said: "The likeness of Ali to me is that of Aaron to Moses, except that there will be no prophet after me." According to the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (sas), Imam Ali of course did not receive revelation. However, he had all other qualities of infallibility. Interestingly enough, he was worshipped by some ignorant people at that time. They witnessed him performing miricles as prophets do, due to their lack of faith, they worshipped him. There are many cases, like the battle of Khaduk, Khaibar, and many others where these situations showed their colors, according to both Shia and Sunni sources, where Imam Ali performed superhuman tasks. The quote of the Prophet Muhammad (sas) suffices: "The triumph of Ali on the day of Khanduk, is greater than the worship of all of humanity and the jinns until the day of judgement."

Firstly, if you cannot begin to grasp the unsurpassed understanding and intellect aswell as courage and strentgh shown only for the sake of Allah by Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib, then what chance do you have of understanding his overwhelming character, which cannot even be epitomised in a picture or graphic of any physical representation. It doesnt matter what he looked like if you do not wish to try and grasp his concepts for a peacefull world, of piety and understanding in tolerance and the vast rivers of knowledge which would flow therin...then you do not have to look unto him but at his personality and SUPERB judge in char...just one of his many sayings.."Our affairs are attached to the destiny decreed by Allah, even our best plans may lead us to destruction." So beware what you proclaim without truth, because the only truth is Allah and he is ALL knowing ALL seeing...Peace be with you....on the day of rekoning brothers and sisters.

Peace be upon those who follow the revealed righteous guidance,

as a muslim, we should all adhere to the sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw) and the practices of those among his companions, whom all know best of his (saw)'s sunnah. Certainly, Ali (ra) is of the greatest from the sahabah, but we should not elevate him unto such a level that which was not practically done during the lifetime of Rasoolullah (saw). we must also remeber that the Prophet (saw) said:

"If I were to take an intimate friend other than my Lord, I would take Abu Bakr. But what binds us is the brotherhood of Islam and its love. Let no door [of the Prophet’s mosque] remain open except Abu Bakr’s"

In additon, the Messenger of Allah praised many other Sahabah, and therefore, we should not single out only one sahaba. furtheremore, the concept of Imaamah is a bid'ah and innovation in the deen. if it were so important to the aqeedah, why is it not mentioned even once in the Qur'an? however, the Allah does mention Abu Bakr in the Qur'an:

"The second of two when the two were in the cave, and he said unto his companion: Grieve not" (9:40) which refers, by Consensus, to the Prophet and Abu Bakr. Allah further praised him above the rest by saying: "Those who spent and fought before the victory are not upon a level (with the rest of you)." (57:10)

i don't want everyone to worship Abu Bakr (astaghfirullah), but we must understand the rankings of all the sahabah (ra) in a comprehensive manner.

Yeah it was. look it up in history books. Imam ali was mentioned in the azaan until i think umar or uthman stopped it. These ppl were power hungry. The prophet not once but on manny occasions said that ali is my succsessor. THat isw wwhy we curse abu bakr and hwo do you know these verses are about abu bakr.

Someone earlier said that we are all muslim... That is only the first part my dear friend. Stop sugar coating it, and face reality. Don't be afraid, do it while your souls are still in your body and while you still have a chance! You cannot build half a bridge and still get to the other side. Both parts must be completed. You must not only be a muslim, but you must understand that Imam Ali a.s. was the true succesor to The prophet Mohamed s.a.s.

The Sunnah follow people who burnt down the house of the Daughter of the prophet, killing her unborn child when she was slammed by the door of the invading sunnah! The sunnah say you will have a gauranteed ticket to heaven, if you kill 7 Shia! What are these childish, unjust teachings? How can the Sunnah deny the crack in the Kaaba, that reopens every year? This is surely where Imam Ali a.s. was born.

You clearly show your ignorance by saying that Imam Ali a.s. and the family of the prophet are not mentiond in the qur'an. Every sentance in the qur'an has not only the plain meaning, but an alternate or multiple meanings. To decipher the qur'an is a very challenging task. Oh yeah, it never says Abu Bakrs name either.

1)The Prophet said, “There is no sword but Dhul-Fiqar, and there is no man but ALI.”

2) The Prophet said, “The carrier of my flag in this life and the Hereafter is ALI.”

3) The Prophet said, “The truest believers are three: the believer during the time of Al Ya-Sin,
the believer during the time of Pharaoh, and the best of all, ALI.”

The Prophet said, “The caller will call out on the Day of Judgment, ‘O Muhammad, blessed
be your father, and Ibrahim, and blessed be your brother, ALI.”

5) The Prophet said, “Every prophet has an executor and inheritor, and my executor and
inheritor is ALI.”

6) The Prophet said, “We were created from the same tree, I and ALI .”

7) The Prophet said, “The most knowledgeable person in my nation after me is ALI .”


8) The Prophet said, “Embellish your gatherings by mentioning ALI .”

9) The Prophet said, “I am the warner, and the guide after me is ALI.”

10) The Prophet said, “There would not be one sufficient for Fatima if God had not created ALI.”

11) The Prophet said, “For the one who believes and trusts in me, I recommend the sainthood
of ALI.”

12) The Prophet said, “The first of you to reach the Pond is the first of you who accepted Islam: A
LI.”

13) The Prophet said, “There is a tree in Paradise called Tuba. Its roots are in the house of ALI,
and its branches are ALI .”

14) The Prophet said, “ALI is the distinguisher between truth and falsehood.”

15) The Prophet said, “The hand of ALI and my hand are equal in justice.”

16) The Prophet said, “ALI is the Imam of goodness, the fighter against iniquity, the helper of
those who come to his aid, and the deserter of those who desert him.”

17) The Prophet said, “ALI is the Imam of the pious, the prince of believers, and the leader of
the resplendent.”

18) The Prophet said, “ALI is to me what Harun was to Musa.”

19) The Prophet said, “ALI holds a right over this nation like the right of a father over his son.”

20) The Prophet said, “ALI is with the Qur’an, and the Qur’an is with Ali.”

21) The Prophet said, “ALI is the door of my knowledge, and the one who will clarifies for my
nation that which I was sent with.”

22) The Prophet said, “Love for ALI is faith, and hatred for Ali is hypocrisy.”

23) The Prophet said, “ALI is the partition between Heaven and Hell.”

24) The Prophet said, “Mentioning ALI is a form of worship, and looking upon him is a form of
worship.”

25) The Prophet said, “ALI stands in relation to me as my head to my body.”

26) The Prophet said, "The verse of purification was revealed concerning five people: myself,
ALI, Hassan, Hussein, and Fatima."

27) The Prophet said, “Fatima is more beloved to me than you, oh ALI, and you are dearer to
me than her.”

salaam. and may peace and blessings be to you all.

I am really disappointed after reading some of the above contents. shiaism and sunnieism is a way of life. we can not kill each other for something that happened some 1400 years ago. I am a practicing shia, and I love all of the imams. we should take their lives and use them as examples in our life. we as muslims she be united and stand as one against the real nowday oppressers. don't you think that israel and the us want us to fight. thay want us to be in constant war. they want us to hate each other and not concentrate on them as they go about their own political agendas. again I am a shia, but that label shouldn't separate me from my fellow mjslims. when I read comments like the one above (sarah) I feel disappointed. sunnies are our brothers, like we are to them. muslims living in the us should try to bridge the connection between the two.

we all all muslims, we are all ummah of prophet Muhammad(SAW). why we have to say that we are shia or sunni etc. we all beleive qiyaamah will come. and we will face our lord (allah subuhaanahu wata'ala). so we have to do right things. all muslims are relatives. all are brothers and sisters.
i got question in mind when i see that photo (saying that it was ali ibn abi talib(as). 4th caliph of islam). why we are practicing like christians who draws imaginary picture of Isa(jesus)(pbuh).they are the people who changed allah's book (injeel) ,they are the people who says jesus is begotton son of god(some says jesus is god). i beleive, our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has said ” if u want to see the son of Mary(Prophet Jesus) look into the face of Ali Ibn Abi Talib". it does not meant that the christian imaginary drawing is picture of jesus(pbuh).

Allah the exalted said Say , " O People of the Scripture, do not exceed limits in your religion beyond the truth and do not follow the inclinations of a people who had gone astray before and misled many and have strayed from the soundness of the way." [Al-Qur'ân:5 77]

Ali(raliallah anhu) said "With regard to me, two categories of people will be ruined, namely he who loves me too much and the love takes him away from Rightfulness, and he who hates me too much and the hatred takes him away from Rightfulness. The best man with regard to me is he who is on the middle course. So be with him and be with the great majority (of Muslims) because Allaah's hand (of protection) is on keeping unity".

* Kharijites who said that Imaam Ali was a disbeliever and they send Ibn Muljim to kill him and he did that.
* Shi'ia's who said that he was infallible Imaam and Allaah had chosen him for leading Muslims . ect.
* Sunnis ( Majority of Muslims ) who said that he was a great companion of the prophet and he was a great leader to Muslims but Muslims had chosen him to be their leader not Allaah.

assalamualaikum......i juz hope,all of muslims around the world,stop fighting against each other...i m a sunni muslim...well,as u know,when i m called a sunni,i wil surely say that shiah is not right...i m sure,shiah followers are also like that....for 1400 years since our prophet muhammad and saiyidina ali left us,we keep fighting against each other...we hav forgotten that we believe in the same god,same prophet...maybe some of us forgot,that we r brothers...that's why we are weak...our enemy always think how to defeat us...looking back into the past.....jews occupied palestine,that time,they hae nothing,only support from US and great britain...but now,they bcome so powerful,undefeated...if sunni and shia never want to unite,only god knows...i know that we all believe that one day,jesus and imam mahdi will come as our saviours...but,do we
hav to wait until that time?i m sure,at that time,only some of us who can witness the arrival of jesus and mahdi...

Dear Muslim Brothers and Sisters in Islam, below is some of the lies that Shi'ites say about their 12 Imams, as some of you might have already known that the Shi'ites are different in many aspects of Islam..... But I'll tell you that the Shi'ites are Not Muslims since they insult Islam with all of their superstitions and lies about their 12 Imams, here are some of the many things that the Shi'ites say about their Imams. (please read all the other articles on shi'ites on this site)

"All the Imams are infallible just like the prophets. The Shi'ites derive their religion from their immaculate Imams" (Ibid, p. 22)

Well this is a clear statement of kufr from the Shi'ites, as you can see they admit that they derive their religion from their Imams, well this means that if a Shi'ite Imam made something that in the Qur'an was lawful, forbidden, the Shi'ites would follow their Imams... by this statement the Shi'ites have taken themselves outside Islam.

"By listening to the voice of a person, the Imams can tell if the person was destined to go to hell or to heaven; they would thus answer his questions accordingly" (Usool al Kafi, p. 185)

Dear Brothers and Sisters, as you can see the Shi'ites make their Imams out to be some God-like being, can't they see that this is Shirk (worshipping other than Allah, or associating partners with him).

"The Imams possess all the knowledge granted to angels, prophets and messengers" (Al-Kulaini, Al-kaafi, p.255.)

Well here is more shirk from the Shi'ites... How can an Imam, who is just a human, know the Unseen??? Only Allah knows the Unseen, and think about this... The Imams were not even Alive at the time of all of the prophets so here is a major contradiction in the Shi'ite faith!

"The Imams know when they will die, and they do not die except by their own choice" (Ibid, p: 258.)

Now, this is a clear statement of kufr. Only Allah knows when a man will die! And these Shi'ites say that their Imams can control when they die?? This is major kufr and shirk for any one to believe in all the things that the Shi'ites say about their Imams!

"The Imams have knowledge of whatever occurred in the past and whatever will happen in the future, and nothing is concealed from them" (Ibid, p. 260.)

Subhanallah!! Only Allah knows the future for any person to say that these Imams know the Unseen is committing Shirk and takes himself outside Islam.

"The Imams have knowledge of all the revealed books, regardless of the languages in which they were revealed" (Ibid, p. 227.)

As you can see these Shi'ites have elevated their Imams to a God-like level, and the Shi'ites say that there is nothing wrong with this!!! Now can we see why the Shi'ites are different to us muslims!

"No one compiled the Qur'an completely except the Imams, and they encompass all of its knowledge' (Ibid, p. 228)

So since the Qur'an was not compiled by the Imams then does that mean that the Quran is fabricated????? These Shi'ites want to even destroy Islam... look at what they say, they even insult the Qur'an!! And it is a well known fact that the Shi'ites have their own Qur'an (On this web site we have an article all about the false lies that the Shi'ites put in their own so called Qur'an).

"Signs of the prophets are possessed by the Imams" (Ibid, p. 231.) The Shi'ites have once again elevated their Imams to a very high level. The Imams they refer too are only human! So why do the Shi'ites worship them.

"When the Imams' time comes, they will rule in accordance with the ruling of the prophet David and his dynasty. These Imams will not need to ask for presentation of evidence before passing their judgments" (Ibid,p. 397.)

The Shi'ites even think that their Imams can do what ever they want!! Here they say that their Imams can just pass judgment on anybody! And they say that their Imams will not rule by the Qur'an but will rule by the laws of David!! (All Muslims must rule by the Qur'an and Sunnah). This is a proof that the awaited Imam of the Shi'ites is not the one that Muslims believe in but he is indeed the Anti-Christ (A'war al-Dajjal). The one that all Jews are waiting for him.

"There is not a single truth possessed by a people save that which originated with the Imams, and everything which did not proceed from them is false" (Ibid, p.277.)

The Shi'ites have proven themselves to be non-Muslims please dear brothers and sisters look at what these Shi'ites are saying, understand that the Shi'ites are really NOT Muslims!

Dear Muslim Brothers and Sisters, above is only a small fraction of what Shi'ites say about their Imams... their are many many Shi'ite books claiming the same thing as above about their Imams. So my Brothers and Sisters how can we call these Shi'ites 'Muslim' after what they say about their Imams, If a person worships Idols and does not follow the Qur'an is he a Muslim???? now the Shi'ites worship their Imams and they raise their Imams word over the Qur'an (they say that their Imams word abrogates the Qur'an), so dear Muslims make du'a that Allah guides us on the straight path and exposes the lies that the Shi'ites attribute to Islam, Ameen!

And yet yo ucan see..the devil is doing a good job making us Christians and muslim go against each other...the devils has tainted allot of hearts to think we are totally different...that the "other "is the religion of the devil and need to be killed...so many times we have been tricked by the devil..yet we never see that we are the same...i know we are but others that are blinded don't. it could most likely be the same and we been plagued through the years of the deity of darkness...God came to Earth in many forms and we never knew he was here..to blinded by the devils work...allot is the "unexaplined".

Ali (as) is the best and one of the heighest positioned person of Allah. Every one has his own position. There are 124000 Propherts of Allah but there is only one Ali (A.s) who was sent for the goodness of the world, who remained like a light in evey one's heart, whose all Sons and Grand-sons were killed becouse they wanted peace. Ali(A.S) is the Imam of every person in the world and the successor of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH).

Lets see how many people get it.

Prophet (SAWW) was both the NABI and RASOOL.
RISALAT and NABOOVAT are two different things.

1.) RISAALAT is tied to all the worldy matter or Shariyah about how to spend life and do things in this world.
2.) NABAOOVAT is the equivilant of Risalat in Rohhaniat. Means In the Rohani world NABOVVAT is what is applicable as Shariya. Shariyat is not applied on Rohani Duniya and example of which is that Namaaz is not FARZ on ROOOH.

Hazrat Ali Karam Allah Wajhu was the Khalifa-e-Naboovat, It doesn't mean he got the naboovat or he was Nabi.

Where Hazarat Abbu Bakar Siddiq (RATA) was the Khalifa of Risalat and took care of implimnetation of Shariat After Nabi Pak(Saww).

SO As Far as Hazarat Ali is concenred you guys can discuss for eternity and will not be able to even WET your feet in the oceans of Hazrat Ali's Daraja, and I think I don't even deserve to comment on that Darja so I stop myself as whatever I say cannot do Justice to Hazarat Ali's Darja. So everyeone should do that.

About Hazrat Abbu Bakar Siddiqui and all the other Khalifa's, We know how these Sahaba's have worked during and after Prophet (SAWW) for Islam and Prophet's sayings about all of them. And again we as muslim today cannot completly understand the RUTBA/DARJA of any of these great personalities.

SO LETS Recite Darood and Salam and pray for ourselves that Allah forgive all our comments that are not correct.
